We finished the leak testing on Copper Hills and also on Steamboat Circle. Both show no substantial leaks. What appeared to be a leak on Copper Hills was actually the sprinkler system running at one residence. The leak that was repaired earlier at the end of Powderhorn was probably the cause of the pressure loss in the Steamboat Circle loop.
We are contnuing with plans to run an additional line from the reservoirs through High Place to connect with the line in Chapel Lane. We now have estimates on this project and the project to loop the Powderhorn main into the Red Rock Canyon main. We expect to put these two projects out for bid as soon as we can get the necessary city approval. We will put a mid 2011 completion date on both projects and let the contractor(s) use their descretion as to whether they start the projects yet this fall or wait till spring.
Water usage continues at the lowest level in many years so it appears that we have most if not all of our leaks repaired. We will continue to monitor production and if it increases significantly we will again call in South Dakota Rural Water to assist us with further leak detection.
